Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) is an institution of national importance and pioneering India’s first national security and police university, Ministry of Home Affairs, established by the Parliament of India. The University aims to provide comprehensive education, research, training, and extension facilities in all aspects of national security and police to serving and retired personnel from military and paramilitary forces; security organizations; police establishments; and the student community in order to contribute to India’s vision of a prosperous and stable world by enhancing strategic cooperation with like-minded nations across the world.
RRU has been designated to be a Center of Excellence for National Security and Defense Management, by the Hon'ble Prime Minister and called upon to become a Global Leader in the field of Internal Security, Correctional Administration and Police during the Amrit Kaal. Achieving the credentials of a Global Leader would require that RRU becomes an educational and research hub for faculty and student exchange, academic, research and training programs, among others.
